Water Valley is a nice place to spend an afternoon. There are a few antique shops, restaurants, an old-fashioned grocery market, a brewery, and other shops that are worth a visit. Everything posted here is on Main Street, so you can park and stroll to hit them all.
If you visit Water Valley, drop by B.T.C. Old Fashioned Grocery. They also serve lunch there, and on weekends they serve breakfast. In the back of the shop, there are other items for sale, such as antiques and hand-knit items.
Turnage Drug Store is also worth a visit. It was opened in 1905 and has been in the same family ever since. You will find a pharmacy, gift shop, and old-fashioned soda fountain there.
If you want a taste of some local brew, head over to Yalobusha Brewing Company. They are open on Fridays and Saturdays (check their website for accurate times) and feature live music on Friday nights.
